Hammock Sidesling
DutchWare's Chameleon Hammock has two storage options: the Chameleon Sidecar and the Chameleon Sidesling. In this video, our founder, Dutch, explains the differences between these two products and how each is compatible with our Chameleon Hammocks.
The Chameleon Sidesling is a long, narrow storage shelf that attaches to the side of your hammock. Once you connect the Sidesling to your hammock, you can access it for storage whether you are inside or outside your hammock. If at any point you need to adjust your underquilt while using our hammock, note that the Sidesling has a zipper near the underquilt for easy access.
Another great benefit of our Chameleon Sidesling is that it has two tie-out points to stake to the ground for greater stability. All of our Chameleon Hammock products are compatible, allowing accessories such as our bugnets and other hammock covers to be interchangeable.
The Chameleon Sidecar is a larger, more expansive pocket that can hold anything from jackets to shoes and can hang at any location on your hammock. If you need more storage, attach another sidecar to the other side of your hammock for double the amount of space. The sidecar has two tie-out points, so you can stake it to the ground for easier access both inside and outside your hammock.
With D-rings inside and outside the Chameleon Sidecar, the pocket can turn and flip to easily change to any location. If you have bulky items such as jackets or an underquilt, these pockets are a perfect storage solution for these bigger objects.

I have only had this thing for about a week now, and absolutely am in love. I had one made from Hexon 2.4 in poppy red, and it looks fantastic. It has a ton of space for all of my crap, and really is a step up to letting my stuff roll around freely in my hammock. On top of this, my little ankle biter loves to use it as a mini hammock. Dutch, your an accessory genius. Keep it up!

So, I got a Chameleon with a asym top cover, and a side car, my only complaint is that you almost have to use the tie outs on the sidecar, otherwise, it seems to almost become a top cover extension, allowing the top cover to sag into my face if there isnt’ something in there. I almost wish there was a d ring/hook situation so you could fasten the top edges of the sidewcar together, so they don’t spread out.. granted, once i put several things in there to weight it down, or tie down the bottom corners, it seems much better. All in all a small complaint for having the awesome storage option and being able to get to my stuff. Thanks Dutch for an awesome hang. I’m currently set up in my basement, but hope to be getting out there in a few weeks!

It will fit just might spill out of it a bit as it is a more shallow pocket. The sidecar would be a better application for this.

No this will not affect the tie out as this will work just like the sidecar. You will also be able to access the pocket from inside or outside of your hammock and you can zipper it onto either side.

Easily my go to storage device for all things. It’s super easy to get anything you need from this and it can hold quite a few things. I just lovethat i can set my mug/snack here and all that other stuff when I’m unwinding after a nice day outside. If you’re looking to store a quilt/jacket/big ticket item (ie winter camping) i think the side car would be a better choice.
This is my default storage system and I wouldn’t ever leave on a trip without it (or a side car depending on weather).
